Justin, Gabriel,
Jake, Lyla, Bailey, Baby, & Mia's Page
This page is going to be for the
"other" children. Ah yes, they are as children to us. I
do not understand how some people can mistreat their pets. If
they feel that way about them then why do they bother having them
in the first place? This is a question that always comes to mind
when I see idiots that treat their pets badly. We love them and
they are as much a part of our family as anyone else. They return
the love you give them tenfold. And without any strings attached.
It is a good thing we live on base now......I can only imagine
when we retire and buy a house. I am sure we will have a small
zoo in a couple of years after purchase! :)
Justin
Ok here we go. Justin
was the first of our "other" children. He is a Golden
Retriever that Angela rescued. Angela actually had him before we
met. However, somewhere along the line he has become my second
skin. Guess it's a guy thing and that is why she doesn't
understand it. Every day we have to go through our ritual when I
come home. I go into the bedroom to change out of my uniform and
he comes in and jumps on the bed ready for war. We wrestle around
and he acts like he is this really vicious beast. Fangs showing
and all. It's funny as anything. Well anyway, here are a few
pictures of Justin:
;)
Here is Justin hanging out at the
pool checking out the babes. Life is sure rough when you are a
dog isn't it? Hehe.
;)
Here is Justin coming to the
camera. He seems to think that any time you point a camera at him
that means he needs to get closer so that you can get a better
shot.
;)
Here's a new one of
Justin playing in the snow. It was around Christmas time I think
here in Kansas City. He hasn't seen much snow. He's lived in
places where they never get the white stuff. He likes it. He try's
to eat it all. Hehe.
Gabriel
Gabriel is a Grey
Persian who joined our family while I was overseas. Which kind of
sucks since I missed all the kitten stuff. He was already 14
months old before I came back. He of course is in charge of the
house. He will let you pick him up and pet him for about 3
seconds at a time. Anything longer than that is not appropriate.
He also has the attitude of any cat of
"breeding"...which means that you mere peasants may
visit with His Highness when he sees fit. These pictures are when
he was a kitten. Will get some more current ones up when we get
them.
;)
Here is Gabriel giving
commands to his humans. He understands that we are not that
smart, so he has to tell us what to do to please His Highness.
;)
Here is Gabriel looking
down his nose at his court. I guess someone must have made a
noise or something that was inappropriate in front of His
Highness. Sorry My Lord!
Sadly Gabriel died one night
out of the blue. The vet said that he probably had a heart problem or something
that caused it. It was quite the bummer. Rest in peace little fur
ball.
Jake
Jake is the newest of
our children. He is a cat. I found him outside one evening while
I was sitting out having a smoke. He walked up to me, started
rubbing on my leg, and scared the crap out of me. So I picked him
up and he was purring like a madman. He is definitely a lover. He
wakes us up every morning around 6:oo or 6:30. He climbs onto the
bed and lays on your head, purrs and tries to give you a massage.
Which is great until he brings the claws into the works. Finally
got some pictures of The Jake Man. He is a clown. Check him out.
;)
Here's Jake
in bed. It's really his bed and he just lets us sleep in it as
long as we pet him when he requires it.
;)
This is his
newest thing. For some reason he is amazed by the bathroom. He
always has to come in and sit on the sink whenever I take a
shower. I also have to turn the water on for him so he can get a
drink. What a weirdo. We caught him sleeping in the sink one day
and got this pic. What a brain dead child. But we love him to
death.
We
have several new additions to the pet crew that need to be added. Here are
a couple of quick pics until I get time to do it better:
